Tell us more about yourself
What are your personal fitness goals?
To build more muscle, especially in my upper body, and to incorporate more calisthenics training in my workout routines. I hope to one day compete at the Crossfit Games.
How will you use your #BiogenFaceOfFitness ambassadorship to inspire women to lead a healthy / fit lifestyle if you win?
I knew I wanted to help and care for my fellow humans from a young age. Following my own battle with obesity, I understand the emotional, mental and physical turmoil people face when trying to lose weight. I will use the ambassadorship to make women aware that their weight-loss journey is so attainable and maintainable. I will also raise awareness about the dangers of obesity and the illnesses that go along with it. Most importantly, I will uplift, inspire and help women to be better, healthier, stronger versions of themselves.
What health and fitness quote or mantra do you live by?
“The only way from rock bottom is up.”
Tell us about your fitness lifestyle
Fitness is my life, my goal, my passion. I began my journey on fad diets and 1200-calorie-a-day eating plans. Through research, I now know there’s a healthier, more effective approach. I found that by eating a well-balanced diet and controlling my portions, I could build muscle, maintain my weight and live healthier without starving myself. I train 4-5 times per week, for 90 minutes a day.
Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
Fitness is my life, my goal, my passion. I can relate to both walks of life on this journey – those trying to lose weight and those who have lost the weight but are struggling to tone. I know what it’s like to feel ashamed of your body and the reasons why they put on weight and neglect their well-being. I care about helping women who are depressed because they cannot lose weight and don’t feel beautiful because of how she looks.
