Why do you think you’re the Biogen Face of Fitness?
Coming from a small location called Bophelong in Vanderbijlpark, raised by my amazing grandmother. There aren’t a lot of opportunities for young women around here. I was fortunate enough to attend Model C school where my focus and stress reliever became sports. When my grandmother and father passed away last year only 30 days apart due to diabetes. I found myself in a deep depression, felt like I was losing my mind, I started stress eating and as time went on I realised how unhappy I became because of how I looked. I needed to take charge of my life, made a promise to myself that I’ll live a healthy lifestyle, and that didn’t happen overnight. That’s when I started working out and going to the gym. There I found my happiness. I fully understand it doesn’t matter what your background is, what matters is how you take charge of your life. My grandmother taught me that no matter how slow or fast you drive, you’ll always reach your destination. I would love for every woman and young girl to look at me on the cover page of Fitness Magazine and believe in their dreams because in this world anything is possible. Courage and commitment is one skill that everyone needs to master. With this experience, I’m putting all that I am in making my dreams a reality. It’s not about the beauty but the elements that go into having positive results. Now, more than ever, I am ready.
