I currently work in the life insurance industry. I am a BCom law graduate and I am currently studying towards my BCom honours in management. I enjoy piano and painting and my art has been exhibited in the state art theatre. I used to weigh 90kg and was always insecure and unhappy with how I looked. I then stopped being complacent and changed my bad eating habits and started exercising by doing 15-minute workouts. I bought my first dumbbells during level 5 lockdown. I started doing at-home workouts and the rest is history. I now exercise at Planet Fitness and have customised my diet to certain macro goals while staying in a calorie deficit.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?

I work 9-5 and have evening classes every Monday and Wednesday from 6-9 and still manage to fit in a session. On those days I workout in the mornings to get my day started. I need fitness as it helps me concentrate. It measures my strength. It makes me feel confident and gets my day started. 

What are your personal fitness goals?

To get stronger, become more toned and defined, stay consistent with living a healthy and active life, gain lean muscle mass, and become more confident.
