What are your fitness goals?
My fitness goal this year was to get as lean as possible and step on stage! I achieved this on the 13th of July 2019. I competed in the “Boksburg Classics” in the Ladies Wellness Division and placed 5th. I would love to carry on competing and be the best athlete I could ever be! I want people to follow my journey so I can inspire, motivate, change mindsets and help Ladies set their own achievable goals!
From achieving my goal, I have learnt so much in the past three months.
This is my experience. Mindset – it’s incredible how much your mind has the power over your entire body. I’ve learnt to develop this by saying no to cheesecake and doughnuts by going to the gym when I didn’t feel like it, also, by setting goals that you don’t want to fail. The mind is a powerful tool!
Emotions – WOW these hormones are the most difficult to deal with if you don’t have a healthy mindset! But we are all human we let our emotions take over us. I found this was the most challenging part as they play such a massive role in being a human.
Food – to overcome the cravings is crazy. Some days I would call food the devil due to the cravings. I couldn’t wait for my cheat meal to arrive to kill off the cravings!
Physical – I have learnt how much one can manipulate the body, from carb cycling to HIIT Cardio, water cutting, intermit fasting and even weight lifting through negatives! I am so glad to have had the experience because I can tell you I have learnt so much about my body!
Any sporting / fitness achievements we should know about?
At a young age, I started gymnastics. I competed in my very first competition and placed 1st at the age of 5! I carried on for 17 years and pursued my goal with hard work and dedication and received my Protea Colours twice and travelled to France, Russia, Poland and Scotland to compete.
I placed 5th in my first ever Bikini Wellness Competition at “Boksburg Classics” in July 2019!
Why do you think you’re the USN Face of Fitness?
I know I can be the Lady of USN Face to Fitness because I know how much dedication and hard work it takes! If I want something in my life, I will make sure that I pursue my goals!
I want you to know that I am a REAL person, especially on my social media accounts, and this is what ladies all over the world want to see!
If we turn one cheat meal into a cheat day, if we are having a bad day, you missed your training session or even feeling demotivated! I want to help pursue, inspire and motivate these ladies that it is okay to have a bad day! (it’s healthy – we are all human) So they can pick themselves up, change their mindset, set new goals and make sure that they stay on track and live a healthy lifestyle! I would also do this by posting a quote or what I have experienced or evening posting a new gym routine to try out!
My entire life has been and is about Fitness and Food, and the combination of these two elements are amazing as they both trigger such different emotions and feelings. I would love to add gym exercises and healthy recipes into the magazine and show people what can be done with food!
For me to be the next “USN Face of Fitness” I will be the Brand Ambassador to those who share the same fitness goals. For those who would love to achieve similar fitness goals, I will help them develop a healthy fit lifestyle!
I want to especially connect to the individuals who want a better life from fitness to mindset, but they have no clue where to start. I will do this by inspiring, educating, encouraging and motivating them!
