Age: 26
Lives: Ekurhuleni

I am a full-time university student, aspiring nail technician and business owner. A small town girl with big dreams, I come from the dusty streets of Katlehong and have every intention to shape my future the way I want it to be. Growing up, I used to be thin and insecure about my body and myself. It took some time to learn the importance of self love and see myself and also believe that I am beautiful and enough exactly the way I am. Now my uniqueness and confidence make me feel my own kind of beautiful and sets me apart. I live by the motto “love it before you improve it” which has helped me recognise and leave unrealistic beauty standards. In turn, I avoid criticism, love my body and project myself confidently in everything I do! I am a firm believer of the importance of passion for opportunities, as I have seen how this platform has empowered previous winners. The same platform would afford me the opportunity to empower myself and help impact young lives to do better than their circumstances.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?

As fitness has taken the world by storm, I for one fell in love with aerobics. Doing some aerobics helps keep me fit, helps with endurance during long laboratory days, and with muscle strength until I get to exercising on my flexible days.

What are your personal fitness goals?

I want to have and maintain a well-toned body and an active fitness lifestyle. I want to take fitness to another level within my life to boost my capacity and mental fitness to study hard, and my physical fitness to acquire the physique I want and create a healthy lifestyle.
