I am a student who is passionate about staying fit and helping other people who want to start making healthy changes. In the past, I struggled with my body image and eating disorders because I was never satisfied with how I see myself in the mirror. That led me into depression and an unhealthy relationship with food – I would starve myself because I was not skinny enough according to societal standards. I was able to overcome these challenges and build a healthy relationship with food through the support of my sister. This was a painful journey but It taught me to appreciate myself as an individual and also be an inspiration to other people.

How does fitness fit into your lifestyle?
I believe that a fit body leads to a healthier mind. Exercising regularly makes me a better person mentally and physically. I am able to face and deal with challenges because of the fitness habits I’ve adopted. Whenever I feel down, staying fit helps me. It has changed my life. I am happier and I sleep better at night because of physical exercise.
What are your personal fitness goals?
To be a CrossFit trainer and become a CrossFitter myself in the coming two years. I believe that CrossFit will help me grow as an individual since it is a very challenging and demanding sport. It will also help me overcome my fears because, for many years I struggled with my body and how it looks. But I have finally found the courage to accept and appreciate myself and not let the outer shell define my self worth. I also believe that by being a personal trainer will help me reach out to millions of women who are also struggling with their body image and weight. I would also love to own my own gym.
